Aeoniums are just like all other succulent plants and require a well-draining environment. I repotted the plant into this pot last year and it seems like it should be repotted again. It is important to have well-drained soil in a pot with enough drainage holes to keep roots from getting wet. Misting helps offer the much-needed moisture without necessarily adding more water to the soil underneath.

Your succulent will need to absorb more water into its leaves. It may take some time before it is ready to consume the rest. The water that makes it to the roots is almost all water. Container Size- A container too big will hold water and cause succulent roots to rot. I water lightly every day after the soil feels dry. This is until the stems become roots. Succulents that are overwatered will develop leaves and stems which become soft and darkened, then droop and eventually drop off. The stems spread out and shoots from the ground, creating ground cover and a larger root system.
