Portulaca molokiniensis ('Ihi) is a unique succulent with upright, corky stems that bear fleshy rounded pale green leaves. Orbea molokiniensis is a multi-branched succulent. This forms a mat from thick fleshy procumbent, or erect stems. The teeth are long and conical.

After soaking the soil, it will drain a little slower, keeping Aeonium moist, unlike the regular succulent soil. Many succulents purchased in big box stores have been grown in less-than-ideal soil.
