Succulent soil has one primary goal: drainage. This does not actually make up for the lack of a drainage hole - it actually keeps water near the roots! This is especially true of succulents that do not like to be surrounded by water or soils. Place the seeds on a flat surface. You can ensure that your plants get enough light no matter where they are placed. You can separate them with a sharp, clean blade. This will minimize stress and reduce plant damage. A mother plant can have multiple pups. The pups will take over the old spot, and eventually, they'll produce offsets.
