Green Planet Naturals is another outstanding out-of–the bag soil. It provides a robust succulent and/or cactus mix. Put the seeds on the top of the soil, carefully placing each one separately and providing space between the seeds. The soil will drain the water, but if the soil is too wet, the water will rise higher, raising the water table. Your water table can be artificially raised by adding gravel to the bottom. This acts as an aquitard. There are, of course, methods of testing whether or not your soil is staying wet at the bottom.
