The "New Rules" of Fitness
Everyone knows what Fitness means right? Fitness is being Cut aka being Defined, aka Getting in good shape aka Getting Shredded aka Getting Jacked aka Getting Ripped (not in a drunken sense).
Fitness
Fitness, as a thing that we must strive for physically to improve our visual look, and by virtue the internal functions of ours and all around health, is a fairly recent concept. Here in the United States, circa the 17th 19th centuries, the country of ours was an agricultural country, with the great bulk of its residents required in farming. Most everyone worked very hard on the farms, and so most everyone was in fit or shape in some way or some other.
The relatively recent societal technical innovations have served to make us a modern society in which convenience as well as expedience stands out as the norm; the rapid rise and advancements of technologies in addition have led to an explosion of population migrations from the farming heart lands to our neighborhoods, changing them as well as leading to a consequent rise most of what we all know of today like concentration of humanity and wealth in centralized hubs of market and wealth as well as in impact, business jobs just where we sit around every day staring at a computer monitor (and smartphone/tablet screens). This has cause more and more of our citizens starting to be significantly less fit, thanks in large part to the sedentary nature of our work as well as our home lives.
Consequently, we today have a majority of the citizenry of ours that is out of shape and not at all fit by any individuals definition. As a direct result of this, a need for an industry to meet up with the demands of our out of shape and obese citizens was created and continues to adjust and flourish. This is obviously out of necessity - our population is aging, our children are frequently using shape, and the parents of theirs are obese.
These days, when we see someone who is in shape or fit, we marvel at them, mainly because they are even more the exception than the rule. As you can observe, the idea that everyone starts off healthy and fit and healthy, as could have been the case at least a century ago, is contrary to the norm that's today.
Old Rules of Fitness Our outdated "modern" rules of fitness would've you simply consume less food and exercise to attain a semblance of fitness, and colon broom challenge (www.federalwaymirror.com) at least a modicum of weight reduction. The mantra will be to eat 3-5 meals per day, workout a minimum of 1-2 hours every single day, performing 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions at some form of excess weight for single muscle groups. Very formulaic, generic, and ineffective. The old rules weren't bad - they only were too generalized and accomplished only the basics. They were decent tips to form a foundational comprehension of physical exercise and offered a super easy glimpse as to the job it takes to reach a certain standard of fitness. Not an awful start - That was subsequently.
The new Rules of Fitness Welcome to the new rules of fitness, in which there is a focus on getting greatest results as efficiently as you can. There's a lot less focus on "general standards" for repetitions and sets along with an even greater focus on intensity and duration, as well as the incorporation of many powerful modes of exercise such as plyometrics, dancing, resistance training, pilates, yoga, along with other aerobic as well as anaerobic modes which can be utilized and combined to promote maximum muscular recruitment of effect leading to much more energy to be used in an little time frame. This is a more successful and efficient way of getting everything done. Indeed we're in a golden era of achievement and invention as it pertains to creation and adaption of physical exercise systems for fitness. Everybody who is embracing this movement should be applauded.
Today is an era where P90x, Insanity, along with other similar sort of fitness techniques are being attempted and embraced on a large scale. Why is this? There actually isn't just one reason which is simple - it's because they are dynamic, fun, and above all these techniques create outcomes - and not just simply standard outcomes, regular, efficient outcomes.
