It is no longer surprising to find cacti plants grown in teacups, terrariums, succulent birdbaths and all types of containers. Make sure you remove all dead stems and leaves from succulents' containers as soon possible. They do so in their leaves, roots, or stems. Each plant requires light to produce its food and to support its stems. Overwatering the cactus will most likely cause it to die. The plant is more susceptible to adverse effects and more vulnerable if the light conditions are low. Overwatering is the most common reason for root rot.
