Succulent fertilizer does not have to be applied. It will only help the plant grow. If you give it to your plant early enough, it will simply "forget all about it" and return to growing. Your succulent will start to produce offsets from its parent when it is healthy. The plant will only be able to focus on the next season, and not the stress it has experienced during the growing season. Overwatering is a major reason your snake plants will die. Keep the soil moist, but not dry. These tips will help you keep your snake plant healthy as it grows and flowers each spring.

At lower right is a succulent native to Oregon: Sedum oreganum. Below: Becky wrapped a large, cold-hardy sempervivum Rosette around a small, smaller Sedum confusum and Delosperma Cooperi.
