The two genera I listed above were the only ones that I could find consistently to be poisonous or potentially dangerous for animals and humans. It is essential that your containers have ample drainage holes at the bottom. Though it may be possible to keep a succulent alive in a container with no drainage holes, it's not recommended. Whatever the color of the individual species, the colors may also intensify with sun stress. If the plant is stressed, more experienced caretakers may be able to bring out its best colors.

You should water your succulent only once a week. It is recommended that you leave it dry for a while (at least a week) before you begin watering it. The plants should be allowed to soak in the water for at most one hour. This is on a minimum weekly basis. Euphorbia Ingens can stay longer in warm conditions, where temperatures are between 74 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid shocking your plants by keeping water at room temperatures.
