If your succulent goes dormant during winter, it is best to repot it in the autumn. You can fill the entire new pot with new, fresh soil, and you may also decide to fill it with some succulent fertilizer. You could also use pumice, calcined or pine bark for those who live in hot climates. Make sure the soil is well-draining. To remedy this, you can cut the soil around it and place it somewhere that will keep it moist. However, if the breakage is extensive and some of its segments are separated too far from each other, grafting or re-planting maybe your best option.
