Don Newcomer, the owner of Serra Gardens, is moving to Fallbrook soon for business reasons. Serra Gardens was a specialty succulent nursery that has been operating in Malibu since 1995. There are many succulents that are native to the continent. In the south, the climate is very similar to California's. Aloe arborescens, native to South Africa, grows throughout Southern California; dense plantings of it rim the cliffs of coastal communities. California native plants can withstand wildfires quite well, but that doesn't mean they won't burn.
