Once pruned, place the succulent in a spot with indirect light, allowing it to slowly acclimate to increased hours of light. You can grow jade plants in less light, especially if you have a bright indirect lighting. The monkey tail's flowers can be light pink or red, and are less than an inch wide at the tips of its long stems. You can often see the succulent sprouting small red flowers at the base and along the ripples. The stems also have ripples that run up and down the sides. This is why the "Tanzanian Zipper", or the "Tanzanian Zipper," was given its name.
