Haworthia, a rosette-shaped succulent, is less than 4 inches wide. There are two varieties of H..turgida. This is a common problem for cacti that can be caused by pests, pathogens, or overly wet soil. Root rot can occur if roots are left in moist soil for too long. Haworthia, like most succulents should not be kept in excessively moist soil or standing water. Water lightly every few days until it has regenerated and is growing well. Once your cuttings are collected, you will need to leave them outside for a few days to allow the wounds to heal.

It's not surprising to see cacti grown in teacups or terrariums. It is important to get rid of any stems or leaves that are not needed from your succulents' pots as soon and as possible. They do this through their stems, roots and leaves. A plant needs light to not only produce food but also to sustain itself. Overwatering could cause the death of the cactus. Plants that are exposed to low light will be more vulnerable and sensitive. Root rot is often caused by overwatering.
