If you get your succulents rained on, they will take in more water than their roots can handle and eventually die. When the water is too much or under-watered, your plant will begin to change. Plant enthusiasts need to know how to recognize these signs. As far as placement of colors and textures, my idea with this project was never have two of the same variety next to each other. The project ended up being quite a bit more difficult than I thought, despite being similar in process to making a succulent wreath.

Kalanchoe will take between 2-5 years to mature. Once it reaches its maximum height, Kalanchoe can grow up to 45cm. It will take between 6-10 months to get all the succulents roots into the sphagnum moss. The sphagnum-moss frame should be soaked for around 15 to 30 minutes in warm water, depending on how large it is. Let's move on to the second step - the sphagnum mold wreath frame. This is where the fun begins. We recommend that you purchase a pre-mixed, well-drained batch of succulent soil or cactus soil from your local garden store.

Soggy soil isn't a good environment for succulents. A glass jar or terrarium with no drainage holes will not make them happy. You can give succulents some relief by lightly spraying them with water, but they will not thrive if they are left to dry out. Succulents also have a dormant time when they don't require as much water.

You can keep your new succulent watered as you do all your other plants. Then, it will be time to plant more. It should remain in the water for at most 24 hours. But, it is better to leave it in the water for a longer time. Wait two weeks to water a newly planted barrel. To water from the bottom, carefully place the plant in a shallow dish or tray filled with water and immerse it for about two or three inches. Serve the plant as a side or in salsas or tacos. Young pads of approximately 4-8 inches are needed for Mexican dish nopales.
