Succulents may survive for a short time by being lightly sprayed with water. However, if they want to thrive, they should follow the "soak & dry" method. Also know that succulents have a dormant period when don't need as much water then.

String of Hearts require lots sunlight and a high temperature to thrive. They are part of the succulent famiy. An indication it is craving direct sunlight. For the roots to grow nicely, give it water for the first year. Place it in a sunny area during the spring and summer months. It can be moved outside in the spring and summer by being placed in a shaded place and then gradually exposing it to direct sunlight. There are some insects or bugs that you actually want on your plants as they feed on the pests that you are trying to eliminate.
