The snake plant is closely related to aloe verde and agave, two of the most popular succulents. Their leaves have a distinctive shape. All the plants in Class Magnoliopsida or subclass Caryophyllidae have been insect-pollinated and have two cotyledons. Perennial plants can quickly grow and mature during the summer months, then produce seeds. They form short spikes of flowers that are red in color. Lithops do well, as long as they have access to light. Make sure the container is kept in a dry location with plenty of light.
