Succulent diseases can be easily treated with over-the counter products. If you fail to do so, your plant may drown or develop root rot which is very hard to treat. The root system of Sempervivum can be quite small. Once the root system is more established, you can decrease watering to about once a week. If the succulent soil has become too wet, it is time to stop watering for a week. Salt in the soil blocks water from reaching the plants. They rely on the small rains during fall to wet the soil, which will be enough for the germinating seeds to produce their own seeds even with no more rain.
