It is easy to do, but be cautious as this succulent has sharp spines. Cut the leaf from the base with a sharp blade to prevent it from causing any damage to the rest of your plant. A sharp knife is needed to remove the rotten or damaged roots. A small cut taken from a jade plants can result in a whole new plant, which requires less maintenance. To avoid infection, ensure that you remove all of the stems. You'll see your succulents grow more quickly. However, this doesn't mean that they don't require fertilizer. Succulents need not be dull if the term thriller is used.
