A succulent swap could be arranged if you are friends with succulent enthusiasts or a member of a local group. For instance, 2 parts of potting soil can be combined with 1 part of coarse sand and 1 part of pumice/perlite. It's easy: Mix the ingredients and potting soil will take up the majority of the mixture, while the two other ingredients will share the rest equally. The best part is that it's so easy to do. Therefore, damp soil for succulents is dangerous as it may lead to root rot and pests, not to mention the fungal diseases that accompany wet soil. What is soil drainage, exactly?

Jelly-beans succulents do well in the direct full sunlight. Crassula Ovata "Gollum" needs well-draining soil. Don't overfill your pot with soil. You can place your pot indoors and in a more comfortable place. You can also prevent the roots from rotting by placing them in a well draining pot. Use a sharp, clean, sterilized blade to cut the stem of the succulent from the top to the roots. Place the cut stem on a clean surface. Allow it to dry for a few days. To allow the leaves to become callus, you will need to cut a few leaves.
