There are varieties of succulents that can grow enormous root balls. You can just take these apart and propagate new plants. Jade plants require at least 6 hours of direct sunshine per day. You should make sure that the container is at least 10% bigger than your succulent and has a drainage hole at bottom. If you are transferring a parent plant that is already grown, it is advisable to use a container at least one inch larger than the existing pot. You can make your succulent plants portable by moving them to pots. This will prevent your succulent plant from growing in a larger pot.
