FELINE STOMATITIS/LPGS
Feline Stomatitis can also be called Lymphocyte Plasmacytic Gingivitis Stomatitis (LPGS). LPGS is a serious disease of the dental cavity in a few cats. These cats create an allergic reaction to the plaque around their teeth. This response results in severe inflammation at the junction where the tooth satisfies the gum line.

CAUSE
The actual cause is unknown. These cats are negative for Feline Leukemia and The diet and immunodeficiency Virus is not a component. Calici Virus has been found but its significance is not known. Specific purebreds including Abyssinians, Persians, Himalayans, Burmese, Somali and Siamese are prone.

SYMPTOMS
