About Me
I decided to get started with the Insanity Workout as I wanted a refreshing change away from the gym. I had grown somewhat tired of mundane running and weight machines on the treadmill. With a baby, and also working full time I needed the exercises of mine to be time efficient, intense, and challenging. I mainly used the Insanity Workout as a means of supplementing my judo training. Being a 1st Dan black belt, I need to be in very good condition especially with further marketing gradings looming.
About the Insanity Workout
The Insanity Workout programme consists of ten intensive DVD workout sessions full of cardio and plyometric drills with intervals of power, resistance, power, and core training.
With nearly all interval training routines you have a regular level of physical exercise activity with short bursts of intensive activity. In this workout you exercise at an extreme level with brief breaks of lower activity. The great thing about this particular home workout is that you don't need expensive equipment or any weights as your body provides the resistance. The one point I got was a yoga mat, to stop the carpet wearing out!
The DVD workouts are plainly shown by former Field and Track star Sean T. He's an excellent motivator, full of positive encouragement. To watch the others have difficulty in the workouts helps you get through it. The workouts also include regular stretching and cooling down, and that is vitally important to lessen muscle strains.
Does the Insanity Workout succeed?
