I can remember one of the things my mom told me consistently is, "Prevention is much better compared to cure." This cliche is true for getting heavy in addition to every other problem.
We do not get overweight overnight. Typically, it will take us as long to add pounds because it takes us to lose it, or even longer. Yes! I feel like saying that statement.
So why do we get overweight? We become obese as we come across it when it actually starts to happen, so we do nothing about it! It is difficult not to observe that you are not fitting in the pants of yours as you use to. We lay back and also give it time to happen.

We finally acknowledge the problem and plan to do anything at all about it. It is late, but "Better late than never"--another issue my mom told me.
