Mulch around the base of your plant to retain moisture is a good idea if you notice wilting or drooping. Your plants may start to show signs sooner or later. Stonecrop succulents, also called Sedums or Sedums, can survive in outdoor gardens. They are hardy succulents and easy to propagate. However, growing Haworthia using clippings takes some time and requires a few tools and materials. Especially if you tend to over water, this soil will help your succulents thrive! Mixing the soil was time-consuming and challenging.

Al shares his recipe for soil for indoor succulents. This works well for succulents since pumice doesn’t "feel" wet as a traditional potting mix. Additionally, it allows for more airflow to the particles similar to the gritty blend. Their roots will rot if they are left in too much moisture. The cells and leaves of the plants will eventually fall apart if the soil is too wet. As mentioned above, if you're using a more organic soil I highly recommend adding in pumice as it's much more durable than perlite. The majority of my succulent experience is in Utah. Utah has a dry, hot summer. Bonsai Jack mixes work well outdoors but I have to water my plants every other day. As I said, I grow a lot succulents indoors.

It is possible that you will need to fertilize the plants occasionally if your soil is different than the one described in this article. If you cannot find the soil components mentioned in the recipes above, you may be able to purchase a bag or "succulent-and-cactus mix" at your local Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or Lowes. A good container should have drainage holes in the bottom if you plan to plant the cuttings. Most nurseries should have the ingredients.
