By purchasing plugs you are also making the decision to eventually plant them. You need to make sure that the water drains quickly from your pot in order to avoid any unwanted effects. Ensure that the pot is of the right size and has good drainage. A large, shallow terracotta pot placed among boulders would be a good focal point for any garden.
