The Dental Health benefits of Chocolate
Tooth decay is probably the most frequent global disease brought on by acid demineralisation that exceeds remineralisation where food with carbohydrate as sugar rich chocolate or confection is left caught on teeth.
Sugar rich chocolate like some other carbohydrate foods, is often consumed regularly especially at Easter, Christmas, birthdays and thousands of various other activities making a small episodes of acid demineralisation which sooner or later develop into cavities where demineralisation exceeds remineralisation.
Many food is trapped in between teeth, but over 80 % of cavities occur within fissures and pits on chewing surfaces of rear tooth where brushing cannot reach as well as saliva does not have any entry to dilute sugars, neutralise acid and remineralise demineralised tooth like on not hard to achieve surfaces.
The first chunk or perhaps so of any foods is trapped between teeth and inside pits and fissures and it is difficult to displace blocking access to the remainder of the meal or perhaps snack for a time.
Chewing sugar free food as nuts or chocolate before meals or snacks are able to reduce demineralisation from carbohydrate for that food and might help remineralisation.
Chewing fibre like celery after consuming forces saliva inside trapped food to dilute carbohydrate as sugar, neutralise acid as well as remineralise demineralised tooth. Chewing gum is helpful but can't absorb and expel saliva as celery and ProDentim complaints; Going On this site, requires chewing for longer.
Chewing sugar free chocolate before meals or maybe snacks has tooth health advantages that can be applied to other sugarless foods and developed into a more effective handy prior to feeding on tasty dental health treat which could help remineralisation after eating.
