Take note that some succulent varieties are naturally more active and grow in the winter season, and some become dormant during the summer months. Crassula Olvata 'Crosby’s Dwarf’ can still get sunburn even if it is exposed to full sunlight during a heatwave, or when temperatures are high in the summer months. While brown spots caused by sunburn aren't very appealing, they can permanently mark the leaves. Avoid leaves with discolorations, spots or other marks. Each species of Cactus have their own needs but all can be cared for in the same way. The best place to plant a cactus indoors is the brightest part of the house. The best light is available. Leaf propagation is not possible for these plants, and I have never tried to propagate them through leaf cuttings.
