Click on "Detailed Suculent Propagation Techniques" to see detailed instructions for succulent propagation. For more detailed instructions on propagating succulents you can take a look at this post or you can also purchase my eBook! It can be, and I'll get to that in the post. It is less likely for them to get sunburned in the indoors, but it can still happen. If you have plants that are indoors, place them where they will receive the most sunlight for most of their day. It is also advisable to place your plants in a shaded location to protect them against bad weather, such as too bright sunlight, too heavy rain, and winter storms. It's vital to keep it healthy that it is well-lit with afternoon or evening sunshine. If you see a plant that isn't blooming or partially shaded, don't place it in direct afternoon sunlight. Sometimes you'll find a great deal in an unexpected place. It's great that I was able to find a local place that sells Sedums and Sempervivums. They also have a great selection of succulents from time to time.

There is a lot of great information on there and people are so willing to help out when they can. I've bought a lot of succulents. Succulents require infrequent watering, and the soil must dry between watering. This is what is important. Make sure you have a well-draining soil to allow the roots to dry completely between waterings. You should water your succulent deeper, but not necessarily more often, and ensure it gets enough light. You can also buy cactus potting mix, and then add gravel to your pot to aid drainage. For my jade plants, cactus/succulent pot mix with perlite and pumice worked great. UPDATE 2: My current soil mixture is now well draining. The roots won't be the first thing that you'll see because most gardeners don’t tend to dig down into their soil to check on their plants' roots. It is helpful to understand what aerial roots are. First, determine the severity of sunburn.

They are easily sunburnt. You can see how the Crassula rustris are extremely dry at their bottoms and have produced a lot more air roots. Rather, if they are outside put them somewhere they will receive some shade and stay relatively cool. Succulents can sometimes sprout air roots if there is not enough sunlight. Although they are not usually a problem, aerial roots can pose a serious threat to your succulents' health. If you've had your succulent a while, you may eventually notice some aerial roots or air roots forming along the stem. If it isn't given enough sunlight, the Sansevieria Masoniana 'Mason Congo’ may lose its variegation. A jade plant requires as much direct sun as it does natural light. It can live in shade or inside your house. You have two options here; either grab a commercial cactus and succulents mix or prepare your own mix at home. The basic idea is that you need to mix in something light and porous into regular soil to increase the drainage. Aside from addressing the wrong soil type, you will want to use plant pots with plenty of drainage holes.

You don't need to water root the cut, so let it air dry. These plants are fascinating to many people. Some may even be interested in trying it. They may become small branches if you don't remove the roots. Most reproduce very quickly and, like this one I got, will have lots of of babies if you find them at the right time. The pot was too small for my porch, 18 years ago.

It can be grown in bright sunlight during the morning and afternoon. There will often be contradictory statements made about the care of succulents.
