Cacti can be grown in one of three ways. You can either plant them in pots or as bonsai. Or you can simply put them into the ground. A variety of cuttings and nursery plants are available to be planted into the ground. You can top the ground with planting mix if it is difficult to dig. A good sandy mix of soil to enable good drainage can be created by mixing soil with coarse sand or you can buy special succulent soil. 7. Rework the soil. Turn it over, remove roots clumps, and then mix in compost. While you do not need to remove stem cuttings from the soil, you can use them to grow new plants. Make a path or dry creek bed.
