It is important to note that much of what to do with kalanchoe after flowering follows will depend on the nomenclature used and what experts have to say. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana has dark green, scalloped leaves, forms a 12-inch-diameter shrub, and produces bouquet-like flower clusters off and on (mainly fall-winter).

Supermarket kalanchoes (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana), are succulents you plant primarily for the flowers.
