Why women live longer than men?
Everywhere in the world women live longer than men - but this was not always the case. The available data from rich countries shows that women didn't live longer than men in the 19th century. Why do women live much longer than men today, and why have these advantages gotten bigger over time? We only have partial evidence and the evidence isn't strong enough to make an absolute conclusion. Although we know that there are biological, psychological and environmental variables which all play a part in women living longer than men, we don't know how much each factor contributes.
In spite of how much amount of weight, we are aware that at a minimum, the reason women live longer than men in the present and not previously, is to have to do with the fact that certain important non-biological aspects have changed. The factors changing are numerous. Some are well known and relatively straightforward, like the fact that men smoke more often. Other are more complicated. For example, there is evidence that in rich countries the female advantage increased in part because infectious diseases used to affect women disproportionately a century ago, so advances in medicine that reduced the long-term health burden from infectious diseases, especially for survivors, ended up raising women's longevity disproportionately.

The first chart below shows life expectancy at birth for men and زيوت تطويل الشعر (glorynote.com blog entry) women. As we can see, all countries are above the diagonal parity line - it means that in all nations the newborn girl is likely to live for longer than a new boy.1
Interestingly, this chart shows that while the female advantage exists across all countries, the global differences are significant. In Russia women live 10 years longer than men. In Bhutan, the difference is less than half a calendar year.

The advantage women had in terms of life expectancy was lower in the richer countries than it is today.
We will now examine how the gender advantage in life expectancy has changed over time. The following chart shows the male and female life expectancies when they were born in the US in the years 1790-2014. Two aspects stand out.
First, there is an upward trend. Women and زيوت تطويل الشعر men living in America are living longer than they used to 100 years ago. This is in line with historical increases in life expectancy everywhere in the world.
There is an increasing gap: The female advantage in terms of life expectancy used be very small but it increased substantially in the past century.
If you select the option "Change country by country' in the chart, you can confirm that the two points are also applicable to the other countries with available information: Sweden, France and the UK.
