Adromischus isn't cold-hardy so if you live somewhere that gets lower than 20deg F (-6.7degC), it's best for this succulent to be planted in a container which can be brought inside. Aloe, which can grow upright, works well in tall containers. It becomes active quickly to produce flowers in the spring or summer. She grows them in Turner Oregon, close to the Washington border. "Blue Spruce Stonecrop" is cold hardy, and does well outdoors to temperatures of -30degF (-34.4deg C). The extent and condition of root rot can affect the ability to salvage moon cactus. The only thing that is certain about large and small succulent arrangements is that it all depends on you. It's one of few succulents that can withstand the harsh Utah winters. What does succulents require from the soil? To ensure the root ball remains below the rim, you can remove 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the top or bottom of your soil. These new shoots may help the plant grow further. Overwatering can cause root rot in the Elephant Bush just like other succulents. Good drainage is essential for all succulents, especially those in moist climates. Haworthias, being shade succulents, are especially at risk. It should not be planted in areas with partial to full shade.
