Spiral aloe, another desirable succulent that is prone to failure, is also highly desired. Above left: Aloe macroulata in the late summer. Below right: The same plant in spring. Because of their similar coloration and structure, they are often confused with Aloe maculata. However, Haworthia don't usually have spines.
