Miss Katie brings a feminine touch to succulents. Dudleyas, related to echeverias (rosette succulents from Mexico) are collectible novelties that sell for up to $100 apiece. D. brittonii and D. pulverulenta both native to Mexico have flowers that grow on the tips. They produce seeds that are far enough away that their offspring can't compete for nutrients. Dudleya farinosa is a succulent that was native to Northern CA. She was investigating the recurring thefts. This Dudleya greenii is a native to the Channel Islands, off the California coast. The CA Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with the CA Native Plant Society have increased their vigilance. They are looking for suspicious behavior like people carrying bulging backpacks and hiking ropes. These telltale signs can be traced back to roots and stems.

You need to make sure the pot has drainage holes. The dudleya's oldest, lowest leaves will have dried up by summer's last month. The older leaves of a dudleya are dry and stick to their stems. Farina (a powdery coating) that makes some species silvery white stuff on succulents acts as a sunblock by reflecting UV rays. It is best not to touch the leaves. Although it is tempting to revive a dudleya that has fallen asleep, if you do not water it it will rot. You can plant them on a rock wall, or at an angle in fast-draining, gritty soil such as decomposed granite to drain water away from the roots. Pot them instead in porous, well-drained succulent soil to keep the roots from getting too wet. If you use fast-draining soil combined with a pot with a drainage hole, you will not need to worry about making a mistake when watering. Their richness is a testament to their hardiness. You can use them as escort or place cards. They're also a good base for calligraphy. These flowers can be used as place cards holders, napkin rings, or place card holders. However, you don't have the need to worry that they will fall apart if you include them in your design landscape.

The plant will begin to show highlights as it receives more sunlight, which causes the leaves to develop shades at their edges and tips. Place the Portulacaria Afra in a warm, waterless place away from direct sunlight. The leaf should be kept in a cool, dark place that does not get direct sunlight. Dyckias wouldn't be as popular if their leaves weren't as sharp. After the roots have grown slightly, you may leave the cuttings alone.
