Succulent plans should be prepared for 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This is because this is the temperature at that they will start to change their color. When they reach their freezing point, frost and rot will occur. Soaking the plant in the evening soaks the kalanchoe leaves turning red in freezing water for long, and it causes root rot.
