The temperature of forty-degrees Fahrenheit is dangerous for succulent plans. At that temperature, their colors will change and they will develop frost and/or rot. Soaking the plant in the evening soaks the leaves in freezing water for long, and it causes root rot. No fuzzy succulents types need high humidity or a lot in the winter. Many succulents will survive a quick frost, which lasts less than an hour. However, Agave Attenuata leaves can show signs of damage as soon as they are exposed to the cold. Agave will look similar after a 32 degree exposure. Agave attenuata will be the first succulent to suffer frost damage in winter. For example, the succulent species String-of-Pearls is known by succulent enthusiasts to be a great winter plant because they are so low maintenance, particularly in winter. They require proper care and attention for the winter. The capensis is a very easy-to-care for plant and can survive in any soil so long as there's good drainage.

Succulents are able to withstand prolonged periods of drought but they will still be happy to drink water on a regular basis. If you are experiencing drought, make sure to water your plants twice a week. This method will guarantee that you get three healthy, fresh plants every time you open your mail box. Desert Rose plants are more difficult to care inside due to their high lighting requirements. Cover vulnerable succulents with sheets late in the afternoon if nighttime temperatures drop below 32 degrees F. A few succulents have a built-in antifreeze that enables them to survive temperatures well below 32 degrees F---below zero, in fact. The stem can be left in place by placing it in a well-draining, sandy soil. The plant's constitution is such that the branches can grow as big as the stems, and they, therefore, are prone to break since the stem is unable to handle the weight. There aren't many things you can do. It's true, you can acquire succulents in much simpler ways.

Succulents love rain, but some could be at risk of too much. Frost can occur after midnight, when temperatures drop towards dawn. In several seconds, soft-leaved succulents can get pitted by hail's impact. My garden's soft-leaved Azave is the one who is most concerned with cold. Agave intenuata thrives in gardens, and plants look similar all year. How about an agave, or any other succulent that has only frost damage to its leaf tips? Don't bother to trim them. It can protect from temperatures between 2 and 4 degrees below freezing. So, finding a sunny spot will do you good. The good news is that spring growth usually hides the damage. Rain gives rise to dissolved nutrients and nitrogen, ishes away dust that hinders photosynthesis, flushes the soil of harmful salts, and stimulates spring growth.
