BUT there are always those pets that deviate from the norm and these are the ones you'll find taking a nibble here and there or even feast on your succulent plants. There are over 200 kinds of flytraps. Only three species that are native North America are Dionaea versalis, Dionaea murcula, and Dionaea umpullaria. It's a little more difficult than you might think to get rid of a fungus. The center of the rosette will eventually become a tall, stout plant stem. It can grow to as high as a half-foot tall. This was a project I created several years ago. Since there weren't many vibrant succulents around, I wired red-colored tillandsias on stems and used dried floral material as filler. Pick out at least approximately 35-40 succulents for the 11x14 frame. Avoid direct sunlight as this can cause unnecessary stress to the cuttings. To keep the flowers fresh I used marbles as ballast. To do this, I filled the vases with water. The flowers appear in small clusters, but generally only appear on older, more established plants.
