Succulents do not like being in wet soil. Therefore, a glass jar, or terrarium without drainage holes is not going to make them happy. Lightly spraying succulents with water can help them survive for a period of time, but if you really want to thrive, they need to follow the "soak and dry" method. Remember that succulents can go dormant during the winter, when they don’t need as much water. Because light levels play a significant role in the plant’s growth cycle, monkeytail cactus often falls into a dormancy period during winter and fall. Choosing succulents that don't like full sun, but prefer shade or low light will make a big difference in the success of your indoor succulent garden. Stem cuttings have a higher success rate than other methods so I prefer this method. Because the Zanzibaraloe is an aloe native to a very dry area, it doesn't require much water. In fact, it can survive even brief periods types of fuzzy succulents drought. However, succulents don't need much water. You shouldn't, however, grow them!

You should be better equipped to care for succulents indoors. You will now need to cut small pieces from your plants, and attach them to the bow. In Washington I never had a problem, but I've lived in Arkansas for many decades and one of my most beloved plants has died every year. Indoors they can be grown together for up to 20 year. It is important to ensure that your succulents are well-watered. It is easy to keep track of the times you water your succulents. Gnats can generally be avoided by using a well-draining soil mixture and allowing your soil time to dry out between watering. Make sure to check your soil every so often to make sure you are not overwatering. And, if you haven't already, don't forget to download my free cheat sheet to see what it looks like when your succulents need more or less water.

As if this wasn't enough reason for you to purchase these planters, you also get a few mini gardening tools (a spade rake and a hoe) with every set. This will allow you to have enough soil in the pot to cover it, and also gives you some space to place the succulents inside without soil leaking over the edges. For any mealy bugs you will need to spray them with rubbing Alcohol and pour alcohol on the soil. This will kill any eggs they might have laid. You may need to dilute the solution depending on which one you purchased. Otherwise, spray the solution directly onto any infestation. Either you are new to succulent gardening, but may already be familiar with the basics. Many succulents will not tolerate the extreme temperature fluctuations that cacti face in their natural environment. Native to South Africa, Haworthias are a large genus of dwarf succulents. If you're growing multiple plants in one container, you'll need to change the water regularly. High humidity can cause soil to dry faster, so it is worth adjusting your routine to water succulents more often than in dry seasons. They provide great air flow and allow the soil to dry out easily. The succulents should be taken out of their containers and as much soil removed as possible. Don't be alarmed if you do happen to lose some roots. You don't have to worry if only the roots near the bottom (closest to soil) are affected.
