Which is better for succulents and cacti: Gritty mix or soil? Good drainage should be your top priority when selecting a potting soil. You should keep the sprouts damp until they reach a sufficient size to be potted. Round ball cacti can be grown for their beauty. Your preferred room temperature should not be higher than this.
