Annie Schreck, Mountain Crest Gardens researcher and on-air host, will join me for a video series about succulent adventures. Aloe barberae, also known by Aloidendron barbarae and Aloe bainesii in Africa, is dramatic, interesting, and sculptural. Although nurseries might sell boxesed, rooted specimens for thousands of dollar, Aloe barbarae can be started from cuttings. I only propagate from leaves with this plant if a whole leaf has fallen off.
