Succulents do not like being in wet soil. Therefore, a glass jar, or terrarium without drainage holes is not going to make them happy. Lightly spraying succulents with water can help them survive for a period of time, but if you really want to thrive, they need to follow the "soak and dry" method. Succulents also have a dormant time when they don't require as much water. Because light levels play a significant role in the plant’s growth cycle, monkeytail cactus often falls into a dormancy period during winter and fall. It is important to choose succulents which aren't tolerant of full sun. Instead, you should opt for low or shade light. This will greatly impact the success rate of your indoor succulent gardening. Stem cuttings are a better option. I've had a much higher success ratio with them so I choose this method over all others. Because the Zanzibaraloe is an aloe native to a very dry area, it doesn't require much water. In fact, it can survive even brief periods of drought. However, succulents don't need much water. But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't grow them!

But, hopefully you feel better prepared to take care of your succulents indoors now! Now you'll want to take some small cuttings from your plants and attach them to the bow. When I lived in Washington state I didn't seam to have a problem but l have lived in Arkansas for years now and one of the easiest plants continue to die on me. Indoors they can be grown together for up to 20 year. This is why having a well-drained pot is crucial to the health of your succulents. You can keep track of when your succulents were watered. Gnats will be prevented by using a well-draining mixture of soil and allowing it to dry out between each watering. Check the soil regularly to determine if you need to water your plant. Download my free cheat sheet if it hasn't been downloaded. It will show you how to cut a succulent that is too tall your succulents respond to water changes.

If that weren't enough reason to add these planters to your cart, you will receive a set of three miniature gardening tools, a spade and rake, along with a hoe. This will make sure you have enough dirt to fill the pot, so that the soil doesn't spill over the edge. You can spray mealy bugs with rubbing alcohol, and then pour alcohol on top of the soil to kill them. Depending on what kind of product you bought, you might need to dilute it before spraying the solution onto the pest. You may be new to succulent gardening or have had some experience with them. Many succulents are not able to withstand the extreme temperature fluctuations experienced by cacti in their natural environments. Haworthias is a large genus that includes dwarf succulents. They are native to South Africa. Meaty bugs is another bug that crops up all the time. A common bug new growers encounter are gnats. Many people believe that succulents only thrive in sunny, warm climates. They don't like the cold. You don't have to look far to find the perfect soil to grow succulents. You don't have to be a wizard to care for Hobbit Jade. If you are applying more than one coat or intend on layering colors, make sure each coat is completely dried before you move on to the next. You will also need to change the water frequently if you are propagating several plants in one glass. Likewise, during periods of high humidity, it will take longer for soil to dry out, so you may need to adjust your schedule and water your succulents less frequently than you would in dryer seasons. They allow for easy drying and provide excellent airflow. The succulents should be taken out of their containers and as much soil removed as possible. Do not worry if some of the roots are pulled out during the process. It doesn't matter if they are just at the base of the stem (closest the soil), it is not a problem!
