Annie Schreck, Mountain Crest Gardens researcher and on-air host, will join me for a video series about succulent adventures. Aloe barberae, also known by Aloidendron barbarae and Aloe bainesii in Africa, is dramatic, interesting, and sculptural. While nurseries may offer rooted and boxed specimens at a price of thousands of dollars, Aloe Barbarae, like all succulents, can start from cuttings. This includes large branches that measure several feet in length. As you can see, I am also a bit curious about yours. This will eventually cause your succulent roots to become too moist and may lead to it rotting. Planting too close to pipes, buildings, or pools can cause trunks and base growth.
