Until next spring, or summer, when it is time to start to propagate more plants, you can continue to water your succulent. The new succulent must be left in the water for at minimum 24 hours. If possible, you can leave it in the water longer. A newly planted barrel should be watered two weeks after it is planted. You can water the barrel from the bottom by placing the plant in an empty tray or dish and allowing it to soak for two or three inches. Serve the plant as a side or in salsas or tacos.
