Why do women live longer than men?
Everywhere in the world women live longer than men - but this was not always the case. The available data from rich countries shows that women didn't live longer than men in the 19th century. What is the reason women live much longer than men today, and why has this advantage increased over time? We only have a few clues and the evidence isn't sufficient to draw an informed conclusion. Although we know that there are biological, behavioral and environmental variables which all play a part in the longevity of women over males, we aren't sure how much each one contributes.
In spite of how much amount of weight, we are aware that at least part of the reason why women live so much longer than men however not as previously, كيفية ممارسة العلاقة الزوجية فى الاسلام is to relate to the fact that some key non-biological factors have changed. What are these new factors? Some are well known and relatively straightforward, like the fact that men smoke more often. Other are more complicated. For example, there is evidence that in rich countries the female advantage increased in part because infectious diseases used to affect women disproportionately a century ago, so advances in medicine that reduced the long-term health burden from infectious diseases, especially for survivors, ended up raising women's longevity disproportionately.
Everywhere in the world women tend to live longer than men
The first chart below shows life expectancy at birth for men and women. We can see that all countries are above the line of parity diagonally. This implies that a baby girl from every country could expect to live longer than her brothers.
This chart is interesting in that it shows that, while the advantage for women exists across all countries, the cross-country differences are large. In Russia women have an average of 10 years more than males; while in Bhutan the difference is less than half one year.

In rich countries the longevity advantage for women was smaller
Let's take a look at how the female longevity advantage has changed over time. The following chart shows the men and women's life expectancies at the birth in the US from 1790-2014. Two specific points stand out.
There is an upward trend. and women in the US are living much, much longer than they did 100 years ago. This is in line with historical increases in life expectancy everywhere in the world.
Second, there's an increasing gap: The female advantage in life expectancy used to be very modest however it increased dramatically in the past century.
You can check if these principles are also applicable to other countries with data by clicking on the "Change country" option in the chart. This includes the UK, France, and Sweden.
