Another research paper recently been printed that shows just how plant based compounds are able to aid containing the brittle bone disease, osteoporosis. Scientists in the Institute of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Aberdeen, UK have found how a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis, cannabidiol helps to preserve bone strength.
The endocannabinoid system is a group of cellular receptors that are activated by a group of endogenous lipids in addition to compounds created from the cannabis plant. The cannabinoid receptors are in the middle of an assortment of physiological processes such as appetite control, discomfort, memory and mood. Current research indicates that the endocannabinoid system also has an intense impact on bone metabolism, as the receptors are nicely represented on osteoclasts - cells whose major job is to resorb (thin out) bone.
Bone is an energetic, living tissue which is going to be continually formed, remodeled and shaped in reaction to both physical and physiological needs of the body. Bone matrix is composed mostly of the macronutrients calcium, magnesium and phosphate and is the material which makes up both the dense parts of the bone as well as the bone marrow framework. Lots of people continue to assume that if one eats foods rich in these minerals then they'll avoid developing osteoporosis. Other and epidemiological evidence suggests that this is not necessarily the case.
With regards to bone health as well as disease the integrated processes that control the development and resorption bone are equally important as the accessibility of calcium, delta 8 distillate phosphate and magnesium.

The development as well as resorbtion of bone matrix is managed by two primary mobile types:

One) Osteoblasts are bone cells that are responsible for the development of bone matrix two) Osteoclasts are altered white blood cells to blame for the resorption of bone tissue.

Osteoblasts

Osteoclasts
These two cell types are operated by an intricate set of signaling hormones, proteins and cell receptors that respond to the ever-changing requirements on bone tissue and other physiological processes. If there are too many osteoclasts, or in case these cells start to be overactive, they will resorb more matrix than the osteoblasts can produce. A predominance of osteoclast exercise leads to the bone becoming less compacted - the principal attribute of the clinical condition referred to as osteoporosis.
The Aberdeen researchers have found that cannabidiol binds to a certain cannabinoid receptor on the bone-resorbing osteoblast cells. By so doing it inhibits these cells from resorbing the bone matrix - thereby helping avoid further weakening of the bones.
