Specific Dietary Supplements Found to Have Negative Effects
Dietary supplements have constantly been a challenging topic and thus there has been a great deal of debate whether they are good or bad for you, amongst health professionals, naturalists and dieters. But warnings have not prevented retailers from selling supplements that contains these ingredients.
Far more than one half of the adult population in the U.S. have taken supplements for a wide range of factors but what they don't know would be that the makers of these products do not have to show that these products are indeed safe and effective.
"Supplements are created with extremely sexy & sometimes overblown sales pitches for increasing the effectiveness of yours in the bedroom, losing weight, or boosting your athletic prowess. And customers are easily lulled into thinking that supplements can do no harm as they're' natural.' Nevertheless, some organic substances can be dangerous, additionally, on top of that the FDA has frequently found dangerous ingredients, which includes man-made prescription medications, in supplements," said Nancy Metcalf, senior program editor, Consumer Reports.
