I'm in the third week of mine of the P90X Workout Program, and so far this's probably the most successful and structured exercise I've really experienced. But as a hectic working parent, one task to stick with any workout program you are doing at home is finding the time frame to get it done daily and consistently.
One thing that's helped me make time for the workouts of mine is getting the 5-year old child of mine active as well as engaged. Now I am most certainly not hinting the P90X workouts for children at home! It genuinely struck me that this approach not only can help me continue finding some time to work out, although it is a great message to my daughter that exercise is important for staying healthy. So now she may not be processing that precise "moral", although it's certainly a "seed" planted that I hope increases with her in life.
So realistically, I'll continue to have difficulties with her interrupting me once in a while, wanting me to give up my workout so I can do something different with her. But as the occasions went by, we're striking an excellent balance allowing me to exercise "every day"! She comes down with me when I start the workout of mine, does some of the techniques with me, plays with something more important the majority of the time but lately she has not bothered me a lot of. And she actually will "cheer me on and motivate" me throughout the more challenging exercises.
At one point, I'm struggling to do exactly a couple of these movements called "Diamond Pushups". And also naturally, the individuals in the clip are cranking 15-20 of them while I am fighting to get just a couple of! As I am breathing heavy, battling my way back up, she claims with probably the most confused and innocent tone, "C'mon get up?!"
