Transitioning Off Sugar and Carbs - Not only A Weight Loss Issue!
It is a fairly regular occurrence in our practice and coaching that someone will request help with reducing their carb intake. Usually (but not always) it's because they would like to lose some weight.
When the regular individual talks about carbs of this sense, they are not discussing the useful carbs (fresh fiber) found in fresh vegetables, for example. They're normally talking about those troublesome "starchy carbs".
Honestly, it's not so much that needed help with decreasing their intake, since that could simply be a situation of keeping your mouth shut and not consuming it! What they really want is help with decreasing their consumption and not feeling rotten or deprived in the procedure.
While there are numerous directions we could take with this little carb-reducing journey, these are 4 of the primary points I usually make with patients from the commencement.
1) It's important to know what you're dealing with.
