Three Reasons why You are Probably not Losing Weight
A lot of us have battled with the age old conundrum of "Why when I am doing everything correct, am I still not losing weight?" It can certainly be probably the most frustrating obstacles in life for many, often sufficient to cause some to totally quit on their weight loss goals as a result of not seeing results.
To work with a typical phrase; "barking up unwanted tree" may help shine light on the larger picture. Essentially it doesn't matter just how much effort you're setting up if you are focusing on the controlling or reducing the wrong things. Hopefully the following pointers will help to keep you proceeding in the proper direction:
1. You are likely focusing on the wrong thing!
After the 1980's the term FAT has been viewed as a swear word, something to be feared and loathed. Everybody from Richard Simmons to Rosemary Conley has espoused the "Eat less body fat and you will be much less fat" dogma.
After 20 strange yrs of folks minimizing fat and still getting fatter we've finally cottoned on to the basic fact which (largely in part to people including Dr Atkins of the Atkins diet as well as Barry Sears of the Zone diet) fats are innocent and it's really actually carbohydrates (aka "carbs") which are the villains that are wrapping all of this extra insulation around our ever expanding waistlines.
2. You in all probability don't realize exactly what a "Carb" is!
