Selling products on-line requires a really different setup from your run-of-the-mill blogging site. Lets look at the issues you will need to think about when creating an eCommerce website and help to explain the reason why they are more expensive to design.
First permit me to let you know what we are not gon na cover in this article.
We're not assuming that an eCommerce site is one page with some PayPal button codes placed onto it.
The PayPal buttons are fantastic and work wonderfully for all those selling a small number of items, but we are taking eCommerce to the following level and giving the customer an even better on-line shopping experience.
Nearly all modern eCommerce website are applications. They've a user interface, administration settings, store info in a website and also stick to a work-flow of processes. We're going to touch on several of these areas.

The Basics
An eCommerce website could be viewed as a play with actors performing it's scenes.

The main actors in an eCommerce internet site are:

* The Customer - buys products
* The web page Owner - ships purchased products & gets paid
* The eCommerce Application - interface between all the actors
* The Payment Gateway - handles payment transactions (learn more about Kibo Eclipse on this particular later)
* The Merchant/Business Bank Account - Website owner's business bank account (more on this particular later)
