Lithops are small, stemless and succulent plants that belong to the Aizoaceae family. They are native to south Africa. The roots are easy to break, requiring gentle handling when they are spread into the new dirt. It is too late to repot if the rot spreads to the leaves or stems. These insects can suck the life out of the leaves, causing them to shrivel and droop, eventually falling off in the lack of nutrients. These plants are capable in storing water in their leaves as well as their stems and roots.
